Pinterest is growing rapidly. According to mashable.com, it has became the third most visited social network (after Facebook and Twitter) Pinterest rated third with the total number of 104 million visits per month of March leaving behind 4. LinkedIn, 5. Tagged and 6. Google+. Higher than Pinterest rated only Facebook with the total of 7 billion visits in the month of March and Twitter.
Because of this, Pinterest has became rather interesting from the perspective of marketing. Facebook is being used as a marketing tool hugely- and from logical reasons- the number of its user sis enormous. But now, at the moment of a raise of Pinterest, it might be a good idea to look in some options that it offers for marketing. Beth Hayden in her article to 56 Ways to Market Your Business on Pinterest suggests that you connect your Pinterest account with your Facebook and Twitter account. This step will help you to gain the number of followers. Also, she encourages you to pin as many things as possible. By doing that you will increase your engagement and exposure. Advice number 14 she gives on her blog is following „When you pin an image, add a description under it. Be smart about these descriptions — a good description will stay with an image as it gets repinned all over the Pinterest world. If the image is something from your own site, definitely use your business name in the description.“
